How to choose products by skin type?
Dry or dull skin does best on the Glow Serum and Night Oil together, with the Golden Dew After Bath Body Oil for the rest of you. Oily and breakout-prone skin should start with the Activated Charcoal Soap, Rose Hydrosol and the Polishing Scrub twice a week. Sensitive skin should begin with the hydrosol and Night Oil alone, and introduce the scrub only after a fortnight. Combination skin can run the full four-step ritual.
What are the steps in building an ayurvedic routine?
In the morning: cleanse, mist with a hydrosol, then the Illuminating Face Glow Serum. In the evening: cleanse, mist, then the Rejuvenating Face Night Oil. Twice a week, use the Illuminating Face Polishing Scrub in place of your cleanser. That is the entire routine, five steps across a full day, not twelve.
Is Ayurvedic skincare suitable for oily or acne-prone skin?
Yes. Start with the Activated Charcoal Soap and Rose Hydrosol, and use the Polishing Scrub twice a week rather than daily. Introduce facial oils gradually oily skin often tolerates them well, but there is no need to rush.
How long before I see a difference?
Skin renews on roughly a 28-day cycle, so give any new routine a full month before judging it. Hydration and texture usually shift first. Tone and pigmentation take longer, often two to three cycles.
Can I use these products during pregnancy?
Several are suitable, but bakuchi is generally best avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding, which rules out the Night Oil. Please check with your doctor before starting any new product during pregnancy.
